As a full service Emergency Department, Mission Hospital is prepared to

or heart attacks around the clock. Our Emergency Department beds all have

so we can treat them accordingly. In addition to the technology, our continuum
of care involves cardiologists, neurologist, orthopedists, oncologists,
surgeons, endocrinologist and critical intensive care.
When patients arrive at our Emergency Department, a rapid assessment nurse
evaluates each patient as they enter through the doors of the emergency
department to rapidly assess and determine the emergent need. Our Emergency
Nurses are specialized in emergency care and are dedicated to helping
patients and their families through illnesses and injuries. The Emergency
Nurses work closely with physicians to provide the appropriate care for
the patient, as well as keeping them informed and supported throughout
the patient’s Emergency Department visit.
Community Emergency Care
Our Emergency Department also works closely with paramedics in the field
to provide exceptional medical guidance in an emergency situation and
to direct patients to the most appropriate hospital. Our community emergency
care department is also a designated receiving center that evaluates patients
for further treatment, as well as a training site for new paramedics.
Our helpful Ambassador staff acts as liaisons and resources as they guide
patients and families through the stress and uncertainty of an emergency
room visit. These specially trained professionals provide information,
answer questions, and communicate among caregivers to help achieve treatment
goals and deliver optimum care.
